Executive Coaching

For me, Executive Coaching is a relationship that helps you see yourself more clearly, maximise your effectiveness as a leader and enhance your well-being and enjoyment of life and work.

Transformational Executive Coaching works in depth, helping you to explore the beliefs and world views that sit at the root of your core strengths and your unwanted behaviours. In this way, clients learn to embrace and maximise their strengths and unburden themselves of the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that do not serve them well.

Unwanted behaviours might include striving to prove, people pleasing at our own expense, rumination and indecisiveness (avoidance), self-effacement or arrogance, never switching off, procrastination, the urge to control, etc.

What is executive coaching?

Executive coaching benefits

Executive Coaching leads to stronger, more effective leadership and better quality of life. Specifically, this comes as a result of:

Increased self-confidence - By getting to know yourself better, learning to build on your strengths, accepting your flaws, and focusing on what you can control, you build a strong inner compass that helps you live and lead with confidence from within.

More authentic relationships - By broadening your perspective, being more curious, checking your assumptions, developing compassion for yourself and others, and having more courageous conversations, you develop deeper, more authentic relationships that enhance your effectiveness as a leader and nourish you as a human.

Enhanced well-being - By clarifying your purpose and your priorities, establishing boundaries, learning to fill your cup and creating healthy routines, you improve your mental health and the well-being of your team and organisation.

Why do people seek executive coaching?

Most people who come to me want support to:

  • Transition into a new role, organisation or both.

  • Lead through a period of change.

  • Navigate relationships with their colleagues and teams.

  • Act on feedback that took them by surprise.

  • Find more fulfilment and contentment.

  • Feel more confident or less anxious and worry less.

  • Tune into their strengths and define the kind of leader they want to be.

  • Get clear on what they want in the next stage of their life/career and plan how to get there.

What to expect from executive coaching with me

All of my clients experience me slightly differently. That’s because we are all different people, and what we create together will be unique.

Having said that, if you choose to work with me, you will get:

  • A relationship with another human who truly sees you.

  • A space where you can think, breathe and be completely honest, knowing you will never be judged.

  • Insights into what I am witnessing and experiencing as I work with you.

  • Tools, frameworks, resources and practices tailored to your needs.

We will work together to build a strong and deep sense of who you are, who you want to become and what you want to achieve as a leader and as a person.

We will work through limiting beliefs and assumptions that might be holding you back.

We will discuss real challenges and define practical solutions to help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

I have a range of packages with different elements that can be combined to create a bespoke package that works for you.

Depending on the urgency and nature of what you want to work on, we can consider weekly or monthly sessions over 4, 6 or 12 months.

Typically, most clients sign up for 6-12 two-hour sessions each, once a month for 6-12 months.

I operate a sliding scale with my rates, allowing me to be flexible with individuals who self-sponsor, public sector clients and non-profits. For more details on rates, please get in touch

How does executive coaching work?

Astrid Korin in a red jumpsuit holding team and a pencil while doing a 1:1 executive coaching session.

I don’t adhere to a specific modality or school of thought - on the contrary, I draw from many different disciplines depending on what I feel is important and useful to each client.

I use models, tools and practices from transactional analysis, gestalt coaching, systemic coaching and mindfulness.

I get inspiration from thought leaders such as Brene Brown, Nancy Kline, Simon Sinek, Adam Grant, Daniel Goleman, David Clutterbuck, Peter Hawkins, Liane Davey, Kristin Neff, Kim Scott and so many more.

“Astrid has been my coach for the last seven months. At the time of a professional challenge when it would have been so easy to walk away. Astrid enabled me to work through those challenges, and now I feel stronger and more determined than ever!”

Karen Horne, Education Director, E-ACT

“Astrid's coaching has had a transformational impact on me professionally and personally. I have become a more resilient and confident leader throughout my time working with Astrid and would highly recommend her as a coach.”

Adrian Dougherty, Head of Public Service Innovation, North of Tyne Combined Authority

“Astrid has the incredible ability to be both very supportive and challenging at the same time. Astrid has helped me to see the bigger picture and really develop my work on the long term strategy of the organisation. Whenever I finish a coaching session with her, I come away feeling both energised and clear in the direction that I want to travel.”

Nick Osborne, CEO, Maritime Academy Trust

“So much of what we have discussed together have become frameworks for how I am approaching this next phase in my career, and I am so grateful for the time, patience, empathy and clarity which Astrid brought to our coaching sessions!”
